Starting the Poker Game
This article is for beginners who have no idea about how to play poker games. To put it in simple words, consider Five Card Draw which is one of the most common poker hands. After each player is given 5 cards, the betting begins. Any one of the players can Open or Check while the rest of the players can Call (agree to the previous maximum bet), Raise (increase the betting amount), or Fold (get out of the current game). The round of betting ends after all the players have either called or folded. It is necessary that all the players must be on par with each other, that is, they should have agreed upon the same betting amount.
Winning the Poker Game
After the first round of betting is over, the players are allowed to discard cards and receive replacements equal to the number of cards discarded. Each player can discard a maximum of 3 cards (4 cards if he/she has wild card or an ace as last card). After the completion of this round, second round of betting follows. Once again, the players can Call, Raise, or Fold. After this, the players should reveal their hand and lo! The player with the highest hand wins the game.
