Mathematical calculation of Poker game

Winning Free poker money using Maths

Mathematical calculation is very important while playing poker. With the help of mathematical calculation you can predict the results of a game to a certain extent. However, a super game with a better mathematical calculation can always be better than your mathematical calculation. So, it is not whether mathematical calculation helps predict a game; we must accept that the best mathematical calculation predicts the game better.

Let us imagine that you play a five card draw. Say, the player ahead of you starts the bed. Now, you know that if you start betting, your partner will increase the bet. Now there are chances that the increased bet will be called for. So, raising a bet always seems to be smarter way of playing the game. So, the trick here is, you should have some one to call after you. If you are last bidder, then if you try to increase, there is good amount of chances for the bet to be called. So, ensure there is some one after you to bet. So, here, by raising the bet you gain one unit and just by calling say twice, you gain two units.

Moving on to the next imaginary game, let us assume three friends are playing. You are one among the three. Say you know that the person ahead of you has a pair and obviously he will increase the bid. If you know that the person behind you can be beaten by you, then for sure the third person will fold. So, if you increase the bet here, you will be in trouble and apart from that you will also be playing with negative expectation. Now assuming a worst scenario, if the first bidder has full house, he will obviously reraise the bet. Now this will cost you two units if you too reraise or one unit if you fold.

Few other strategies are: Say, person ahead of you bets. You do not make any flush now. Now there are few chances for you to rise. Now imagining the second strategy. Say you did not make any flush and the person after you folds. In this case if the initial player has only two pair he will definitely fold. Now, the expectation, whether positive or negative depends on the number of pots.

It is important to read the players and their hands when you are playing. They say hundred stories and share tips with you. You must also remember that it is good to play wrongly. You can intentionally play low in order to gain better in the future rounds. When you are playing with a small opponent, it is always better to play inferiorly. This is help you when you know that the amount your opponent has and especially when you are also playing with lesser amount. Once you trap your opponent and when he has lost everything to you, then you can go ahead with your game. Avoid giving maximum raises for a small favorite. In these situations, you must fold your hands and better do the calling.

Understanding Poker Games

Starting the Poker Game

This article is for beginners who have no idea about how to play poker games. To put it in simple words, consider Five Card Draw which is one of the most common poker hands. After each player is given 5 cards, the betting begins. Any one of the players can Open or Check while the rest of the players can Call (agree to the previous maximum bet), Raise (increase the betting amount), or Fold (get out of the current game). The round of betting ends after all the players have either called or folded. It is necessary that all the players must be on par with each other, that is, they should have agreed upon the same betting amount.

Winning the Poker Game

After the first round of betting is over, the players are allowed to discard cards and receive replacements equal to the number of cards discarded. Each player can discard a maximum of 3 cards (4 cards if he/she has wild card or an ace as last card). After the completion of this round, second round of betting follows. Once again, the players can Call, Raise, or Fold. After this, the players should reveal their hand and lo! The player with the highest hand wins the game.
